Mentor to Leadership Community Development Corporation responds to the United States Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade by funding travel expenses for individuals who need to travel to New Jersey to receive an abortion through its, “Abortion is Healthcare Program”.

 

New Jersey- The Mentor to Leadership Community Development Corporation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501 ( c ) (3) public charity. Its mission is to address and educate individuals and families to provide relief to eradicate chronic homelessness here in the United States of America. Mentor to Leadership Community Development Corporation believes an unplanned pregnancy can cause homelessness especially if someone already has limited resources.

With Roe v. Wade overturned, many states have begun to ban abortions. However, Mentor to Leadership Community Development Corporation is in the State of New Jersey where abortions are legal.

 

The Abortion is Healthcare Program will fund traveling expenses for individuals who need to travel to New Jersey to receive an abortion. Individuals must be 18 years and older and must provide proof of an upcoming appointment.

Founder and Executive Director Ashley J. Cartwright stated, “we are not here to argue whether abortions are right or wrong. We are simply saying nobody should be able to dictate to a woman about what she chooses to do with her body. With us located in the great State of New Jersey where abortions are still legal, we will help women in other states where abortions are not legal to get the abortion they need for whatever reason.”
